Finance
Dhamma.org is funded by contributions from centres that use its services. It is also possible to give dana specifically to support the projects
-
- Cost Sharing Model
Dhamma.org funding has so far been covered mainly by contributions from centres and countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
Old students may also make personal contributions. See the dana section. - Technology Expenses
These have so far been the main expenses. Even though most of the software has been developed by old students volunteers, some hardware costs – such as webspace, computer maintenance etc. – need to be covered.
The estimated cost for technology for 2021 is US$50,000, in line with previous years. - Legal Expenses
The legal advice, as outlined in the Legal section, has so far been provided by competent members of the Vipassana community, but external consultants are sometimes needed for specific matters. - Bookkeeping and Reporting
